Cockroaches- A Stream of Consciousness, Free-Verse Poem

Cockroaches
Crunchy little bits of bug
Antennae for miles
Too many legs to creep about
More likely to survive the Apocalypse than Twinkies
As old as dirt
Will likely outlive you and I
Thrive in environments you would never live in
Nature's comeback kid
Wall*E's pet
More intelligent than a lot of people I know
More street smart than a lot of people I know
Pesky little pests
Hissing
Flying
Make-me-crying
Scarier than Texas Chainsaw Massacre
I do like them here or there
I do not like them anywhere
I do not like them in a house
I do not like them with a mouse
I do not like them. The end.
